This is a career-defining opportunity for an experienced Electrical Manager to take full ownership of the electrical delivery on a flagship pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Sweden. You will be part of a high-performing, multinational team, driving a project that sets new benchmarks for GMP compliance, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
Key Requirements
Degree in Building Services / Electrical Engineering, or strong trade qualification with management experience.
5+ years’ experience in a site-based electrical management role within pharmaceutical, biotech, or other highly regulated sectors.
Strong understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and cleanroom construction requirements.
Excellent IT and reporting skills, including MS Office and scheduling software such as Primavera or MS Project.
Proven leadership ability with experience coordinating large, multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
Strong personal commitment to Health & Safety, with the ability to drive a positive safety culture across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all electrical works on-site, ensuring delivery is safe, on time, and fully compliant with GMP and regulatory standards.
Act as a visible safety leader, embedding a safety-first culture throughout the project.
Oversee hazardous energy control strategies, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of all electrical systems, ensuring alignment with project specifications and quality standards.
Support the development and implementation of Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs) for critical systems and utilities.
Conduct quality inspections and ensure all electrical installations meet stringent pharmaceutical requirements.
Coordinate closely with CSA and MEP teams to deliver key milestones and meet beneficial use dates.
Manage temporary power systems for construction and commissioning activities.
Chair technical and progress meetings, providing leadership and clarity to stakeholders.
Produce detailed progress, cost, and manpower reports for senior leadership.
Manage and monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring resources meet programme demands.
Identify and implement sequencing improvements to optimise project delivery and efficiency.
